Upon meeting Alexis, he comes off as a quiet guy; but behind his shy smile is an analytical and creative thinker. Aside from being a reliable Senior .NET developer, outside the workplace, he is also an impressive photographer.

Just a few things about Alexis

Q: How long have you been at Cloud Employee?

Alexis: I’ve been working at Cloud Employee for more than 2 years now.

Q: What is your current position?

Alexis: I am a Senior .NET Developer.

Q: When and how did you start as a .NET Developer?

Alexis: I started as a freelance developer when I was still in college.

Q: What projects/technologies do you enjoy working on in your spare time?

Alexis: I do some projects on my spare time using Node.js for back-end and Angular/React for front-end. I do these just to explore and try out other technologies.

So, we heard you’re interested in photography...

Q: How long have you been doing photography and how did you get started?

Alexis: I have been doing photography for more than a year. I became interested in photography because I like to travel and in travelling, taking some photographs is a sure thing. I then decided to buy a mirrorless camera and started to study photography.

Q: What kind of photos do you usually take?

Alexis: I primarily take photos of landscapes–mountains, oceans and buildings, but I also do portraits.

Q: What camera do you use?

Alexis: I use a Fujifilm mirrorless camera.

Q: Do you have any tips for photography newbies?

Alexis: I think it’s best for them to start learning some basic photography composition rules like the rule of thirds, leading lines, and framing.

Your life at Cloud…

Q: Walk us through your day. What’s a typical day like for you as a developer?

Alexis: In an ordinary day in the office, I usually start by reviewing the things that I’ve done from the day before and take note of the problems or issues that I encounter. Then, I will prepare for our daily meeting by listing down all reports and necessary concerns to relay to my client, and after that, the coding begins.

Q: What is the best thing about your job?

Alexis: The best thing about my job is that I am able to do what I really love. Programming is not only a job for me, but it is also my hobby.

Q: What is something your office mates don’t know about you?

Alexis: I like reading web novels!

Q: What do you love about Cloud Employee?

Alexis: Here at Cloud Employee, we have a very relaxed and friendly environment. We also have office games that help us all develop a good bond with each other.

Q: In your opinion, what are the top three skills or traits that a Senior .NET developer must possess?

Alexis: For me, these top three skills would have to be:

First, one must be great at time and task management.

Second, he or she must be a good team player

And lastly, he or she must be a self-learner.
