Role Overview
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial reports to management.
General Ledger Management:
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Month-End and Year-End Close:
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasting.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Audit Support:
- Coordinate and support external audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.
Tax Compliance:
- Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with local and federal tax regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns as required.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial and accounting procedures.
- Implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and senior management.
- Provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
