A leading UK-company that specializes in providing foreign currencies solutions.

Role Overview

  • The candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of all versions of Windows Operating Systems,
  • Messaging and Virtualisation platforms. Reporting into the Intel Services Technical Manager.

Technical Activities

  • To work as a member of the Intel team in Mumbai supporting a global Windows based estate.
  • To ensure that Server and Infrastructure incidents are resolved within specified SLA’s, liaising with other support teams and 3rd parties where appropriate.
  • To ensure that appropriate escalation procedures are followed
  • To ensure that necessary team documents are maintained.
  • Following up on morning checks results and resolving reported issues.
  • To ensure that any enhancement and project work is delivered to the agreed scope and timescale and within agreed budgets.
  • To comply with departmental policies and standards (Change control, Problem management and security standards)
  • To adhere to all compliancy, audit and corporate policies. (e.g. Health and Safety)

Relationship Management

  • Identify, recognize and acknowledge IT management and stakeholders
  • Determine their influence and interest in BAU and strategic goals
  • Establish communication channel with relevant stakeholders
  • Set the goals at individual and team level to meet management expectations
  • Plan, execute and share the progress with the management

Candidate Requirements

Communication

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language

General

  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Essential

  • Excellent communicator, written and verbal.
  • Advanced level of server and infrastructure troubleshooting skills up to and including 3rd level support. (IIS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Active Directory)
  • Full understanding of the Concepts in Managing Microsoft Operating Systems, Active Directory, Web servers and Messaging installations in a
  • Global Multi Domain Forest.
  • Windows Operating Systems support up to and including Windows 2008.
  • Messaging Systems including Microsoft Exchange.
  • In-depth experience of VMware virtualisation including network and resource configuration, template creation and troubleshooting.
  • Storage solutions including SAN and NAS, implementation and support.
  • Backup architecture, support and configuration.
  • Professional Certification and Accreditation, such as MCT IP and VCP
  • Graduate or higher
  • A quick Learner with the ability to take a structured, methodical and disciplined approach to all tasks.
  • The Ability to investigate issues or evaluate products and produce articulate and convincing proposals and documentation to enable their support or deployment.
  • To be able to work effectively to tight deadlines while providing high quality feedback to all relevant parties.

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Citrix and/or other thin client environments.
  • Understanding of compliancy requirements and processes such as IT Security and Audit requirements, Business Continuity Management and
  • Disaster Recovery techniques.
  • Advanced system configuration (System hardening etc.)
  • Automation and Scripting knowledge
