Job Description
- Lead Development Projects: Successfully guide projects from conception to deployment, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Innovate and Optimise: Continuously improve our software solutions, keeping them at the forefront of technology and user experience.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a small group of developers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaborative growth.
Technical Excellence:
Maintain high standards in software development, ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable solutions.
Strategic Contribution:
Actively contribute to the strategic planning of technology solutions, aligning with business goals and objectives.
Role Overview
- Design and develop scalable software applications using C# .NET.
- Develop APIs and integrate external services.
- Use TypeScript in a microservice architecture, with the opportunity to be involved in our cloud-based event-driven projects.
- Proficiency with SQL & stored procedures in web applications.
- Lead and mentor a small group of junior developers.
- Worked effectively in our agile team, contributing to all aspects of the software development process from design through to delivery.
- Be a key member of our Technical Design Forum to present and assess technical proposals.
- Ensure software quality, including through code reviews, comprehensive code coverage, and clear technical design documentation.
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.
Candidate Requirements
- Proficiency in C# .NET, TypeScript, and Microservices architecture.
- You’ve worked in a full-stack development role before, ideally in an eCommerce setting.
- Experience in leading and mentoring teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile practices and SCM tools like Git.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or the equivalent work experience.
- Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and practices.
