The Position

The job of the Senior Content Writer was established for the purpose/s of acting as an assistant lead person in the Marketing Team supporting the Marketing Manager in managing the content team in delivering results by strategising with team leaders for content, managing the team’s workflow, proofreading content and making sure all content is in its best correct form before publishing.

The job reports to the Marketing Manager.

  • Manage the content writer’s workflow and calendar
  • Proof content and make sure all content being published are in its best correct form.
  • Coordinate and align with the different team leaders for the different content needs.
  • Work closely with SEO Lead to make sure all content is optimised for SEO
  • Write content for the website and other marketing collaterals when needed.
  • Create a content strategy that aligns with the marketing plan.
  • Monitor team’s KPIs and make sure the team meets deadlines.
  • Support the marketing team on ad-hoc tasks in case needed.
  • Monitor content performance and prepare periodic reports.

Candidate Requirements

Essential skills and experience:

  • A Bachelor's/College Degree in Journalism / Communication or any related course
  • 2-3 years of experience with Content Writing.
  • An ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a small team.

KPI

  • Produce all the content needed by the team on time.
  • Create a content plan that will increase website engagement and SEO rankings.
  • Manage the content team effectively.
  • Write and execute a content strategy that aligns with the marketing plan.
