Lumosity is a widely popular app created by scientists and game designers. Based on various cognitive research, the daily mini games are split into different categories: memory, attention, problem solving, flexibility, and more. According to the developers, just one session can improve a person’s mental skills and help keep track of their progress and performance when compared with others. It’s free for a limited access and can be upgraded for the full version for $15 a month.
Another widely used app on the list, Elevate’s brain games stem from proven educational techniques. It offers more than forty brain games for skills like focus, memory, processing, math, precision, and comprehension. Elevate gives a daily, weekly, and monthly analysis of your overall performance and progress in areas such as writing, listening, speaking, reading, and math. Elevate is available for free and can be upgraded for £29.99 (yearly subscription) for more games and in-depth analysis.

The app is free but can be upgraded to Pro for £3.99 for a one-month subscription, or $25.99 for a 12-month subscription.
NeuroNation offers 29 fun exercises and eight tailored courses to keep your mind focused, sharp, and fast. The exercises are created by renowned neuroscientists for effective brain training. NeuroNation is free but also offers a premium membership to access more supplementary exercises, personalized courses and in-depth insights among other features. Prices start for €14.99 for three months.
